A Simple, Economical Method To Prevent Childhood Obesity In Any US School District

Even though the childhood obesity pandemic has recently been said to be levelling down, the issue is still very much present, and we have a long way to go before it is eradicated.  One group of concerned exercise physiologists recently. Rick and Morty Sweatshir  outlined a straightforward 7-step solution that any school district in America can implement as long as they're action-oriented and truly want to start this fall taking regular, documented bites out of childhood obesity in their own schools, even though complicated and expensive solutions are being proposed by many authorities.

Here is their Straightforward Seven Step Solution.

1. Establish a district-wide aim to eradicate childhood obesity in ten years or less.

2. Hold a district-wide test to see which of your pupils can complete standard pull-ups. You'll begin the school year with proof that a specified percentage of your students are not obese because it is widely known that children who can perform standard pull-ups cannot be obese. This will act as a starting point.

3. Give unique T-shirts (sweatshirts, caps, etc.) and certificates of immunisation to all kids who can complete conventional pull-ups. These rewards will serve as a natural immunisation against obesity as long as the students continue to be able to complete pull-ups.

4. Encourage these pupils to improve their capacity to perform standard pull-ups, since the more pull-ups they can complete, the greater their physical efficiency (leanness) will be.

5. Then, with the aid of a straightforward height-adjustable pull-up bar and leg-assisted pull-ups, start teaching all K–2 kids how to perform standard pull-ups in a predictable length of time.  This will help the students naturally protect themselves against obesity.

6. Continue adding one class level every succeeding year (e.g., third grade in year 2, fourth grade in year 3, etc.) until all grade levels, K–12, are covered.

7. As you achieve consistent, recorded progress toward eradicating childhood obesity in your school district every day of the week, keep the local media informed and celebrate all your victories on the websites and newsletters of your school.

Wait no longer if you enjoy ideas that are easy to implement, inexpensive, and tried and true. Act now!

and a Potential State Budget

Any school district in the United States can begin using this straightforward, affordable obesity prevention method this fall provided they are self-starters who take initiative. However, if self-starting, action-oriented school districts are difficult to come by, some states may decide that it's time to pro-actively step in and fuel the pump; the budget that follows is an example of one that would do just that.

1. One State Director, $100,000 (total $100,000)

2. Ten Regional/County Directors at $50,000 each ($500,000 total)

3. Ten $10,000 stipends to ten physical educators in each Region ($1,000,000 total).

4. Infrastructure and Promotion $400,000 (total $400,000)

5. $2,000,000 is the whole state budget (including people, equipment, and advertising).

6. To document 20,000 students who were naturally inoculated against obesity in the first year.

7. Document for Goal No. 2 2,000 students receive a regional/natural vaccine against obesity

8. Document for Goal No. 3 200 students with stipends are innately immune to obesity.

9. The fourth goal is to keep the average cost of naturally protecting students from obesity for life to under $100 per student.

10. The fifth goal is to replicate this project every year for ten years, at which point childhood obesity will have been completely eradicated in this state.
